Innovation writing & narrative strategy

Clear stories about innovation.

Led by former Forbes reporter and foreign correspondent Chris Noon, we explain what the world’s biggest companies are inventing, whether it’s new technology, new engineering, new science or new ways of working.

What Claritas Editorial does

Innovation, explained properly.

Four ways we turn R&D, engineering and emerging technology into work that persuades technical and non-technical readers alike.

01

Smooth Landings

We find the story inside the technology: why it’s better than before, how it works, who it helps. We’ll make those messages land smoothly with your audience, whether it’s an op-ed for top-tier financial press, a blog for a niche trade publication or a keynote speech for an international conference.

02

Black Box Analysis

Forensic thought leadership: executive bylines, white papers, reports, op-eds and speeches that stake out a point of view on where a technology and its market are heading, backed by evidence.

03

Human Stories

We report interview-led narratives about the engineers, clinicians, operators and users behind a breakthrough. You’ll have a feature article that wouldn’t look out of place in the New York Times Magazine.

04

Deep Dives

Features, explainers and newsletters that make hard technology legible, written by experienced reporters who have worked for major newswires, business magazines and trade publications.

Selected experience

Where the innovation is happening.

Human stories

Innovation, at human scale.

About us

A reporter’s instincts.

Claritas Editorial is led by Chris Noon, a British writer and editor with more than 20 years’ experience, most of it spent writing about innovation, working with clients across the UK, Europe and the US from London and Barcelona. He reported for Forbes and worked as a foreign correspondent in Latin America, based in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, before moving into executive communications and B2B editorial work for organisations inventing at the frontier of energy, aerospace, AI, health and finance. Much of the work shown here was produced for clients during his time with the agency FitchInk.

That background is how we work: we get to grips with an unfamiliar technology quickly, interview the scientists and engineers behind it, judge what is genuinely new, and shape it into precise, readable work for demanding audiences, without hype and without losing the detail that makes it credible.

How it works

  1. 1We clarify the audience, objective, evidence and point of view.
  2. 2We interview subject-matter experts and interrogate the source material.
  3. 3We build a strong narrative, message hierarchy and editorial structure.
  4. 4We deliver polished, accurate copy, ready for review and publication.
